The Poets (Alshu'araa')
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta-Sin-Mim. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Quran, and none but Allah (Alone) knows their meanings.] 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 We could send down from the heavens a sign to them if We pleased, before which their heads would remain bowed. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 they have indeed rejected the message. But the truth of what they laughed to scorn will dawn upon them before long. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how many We caused to grow in it every generous kind? 7 Lo! herein is indeed a portent; yet most of them are not believers. 8 And indeed your Lord – indeed only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 9
