The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Ta. Sin, Mim. 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. 2 Possibly you may risk your life (O dear Prophet Mohammed peace and blessings be upon him) by grieving, because they did not believe. 3 But if We had so willed, We could have sent down to them a sign from the heavens so that their heads would be bowed down before it in utter humility. 4 But never fresh remembrance comes to them from the All-merciful, except they turn away from it. 5 So, they belied, but surely the tidings of that they mocked will come to them. 6 Have they not seen the earth, how much of every fruitful kind We make to grow therein? 7 In this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 8 Your Lord is surely mighty and merciful. 9
