The Poets (Alshu'araa')
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ Ta Sin Mim. 1 These are the Verses of the manifest Book [this Quran, which was promised by Allah in the Taurat (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel), makes things clear]. 2 It may be that thou tormentest thyself (O Muhammad) because they believe not. 3 Had We so willed, We could have sent down unto them a message from the skies, so that their necks would [be forced to] bow down before it in humility. 4 [But We have not willed it:] and so, whenever there comes unto them any fresh reminder from the Most Gracious, they [who are blind of heart] always - turn their backs upon it: 5 Indeed they have denied, so now soon coming upon them are the tidings of what they used to scoff at. 6 Do they not look at the earth, how We caused a variety of fine vegetation to grow from it (in abundance)? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 9
