And [mention] when your Lord called Moses, [saying], "Go to the wrongdoing people - 10 The folk of Pharaoh. Will they not ward off (evil)? 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and then my breast will be straitened and my tongue will not be free: send, then, [this Thy command] to Aaron. 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 go both to Pharaoh and both of you say to him: 'We are (each) a Messenger from the Lord of all the Worlds. 16 "So allow the Children of Israel to go with us.' " 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 (Moses) said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers from the beginning!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 Musa (Moses) said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Pharaoh said: "Then bring it if you are truthful at all." 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand and lo! it was white to the beholders. 33
