And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 The people of Fir'awn; fear they Me not? 11 He said: "O my Lord! I do fear that they will charge me with falsehood: 12 My heart is constrained, my tongue falters, so delegate Aaron; 13 "And they have a charge of crime against me, and I fear they will kill me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Fir'awn said: and what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 Thereupon [Moses] threw down his staff - and lo! it was a serpent, plainly visible; 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
