And when your Lord called to Moses, saying: 'Go to the harmdoing nation, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 Yet you committed the deed you did, surely you are one of the ingrates." 19 Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was an ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 Pharaoh said to the audience: "This Messenger of yours who has been sent to you is simply mad." 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "If you choose an ilah (god) other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." 29 He said: even though I bring unto thee something manifest? 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 Moses threw his staff and suddenly it became a serpent. 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
