When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, 10 The people of Firon: Will they not guard (against evil)? 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 They also have a sin against me, and I fear they will slay me.' 14 Said He, 'No indeed; but go, both of you, with Our signs, and We assuredly shall be with you, listening. 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 He (Moses) replied: 'Indeed, I did that when I was among those who stray. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 And this is the past favour wherewith thou reproachest me: that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel. 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 Moses continued, "He is the Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 (Pharaoh) said: 'Surely, the Messenger who has been sent to you is mad!' 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
