And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 the people of Pharaoh, who refuse to be conscious of Me!" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 Said He: "Not so, indeed! Go forth, then, both of you, with Our messages: verily, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]! 15 Go, then, to Pharaoh and say to him: 'The Lord of the Universe has sent us 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And yet thou didst commit that [heinous] deed of thine, and [hast thus shown that] thou art one of the ingrate!" 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 “And is this some great reward for which you express favour upon me – that you have enslaved the Descendants of Israel?” 22 Firon said: And what is the Lord of the worlds? 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 Moses went on, "He is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers." 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 (The Pharaoh) said: "If you took another god apart from me I will have you incarcerated." 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 Said he: Bring it then, if you are of the truthful ones. 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it was white to the beholders. 33
