When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said, 'My Lord, I fear they will cry me lies, 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 The Lord said, "Have no fear, both of you go with Our miracles. We shall closely listen to you." 15 "So go forth, both of you, to Pharaoh, and say: 'We have been sent by the Lord and Cherisher of the worlds; 16 let the Children of Israel go with us!'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 I fled from you because I feared you. But my Lord has given me judgment and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And that favour wherewith thou didst oblige me was that thou hadst enslaved the Children of Isra'il? 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 He said: The Lord of the heavens and the earth and what is between them, if you would be sure. 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients.' 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 Moses continued, "He is the Lord of the East and West and all that is between them, if only you would think". 28 Said Firaun, “If you ascribe any one else as a God other than me, I will surely imprison you.” 29 [Moses] said, "Even if I brought you proof manifest?" 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
