(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 the nation of Pharaoh. Will they not fear Me' 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 "And (further), they have a charge of crime against me; and I fear they may slay me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray. 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 Moses said: "(He is) Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers of yore." 26 Pharaoh said to the audience: "This Messenger of yours who has been sent to you is simply mad." 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Pharaoh said: "If you take any god other than me, I will certainly make you one of those (who are rotting) in prison." 29 'What, even if I brought you something clear' said he (Moses). 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
