When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 besides, they accuse me of a crime, and I fear that they may put me to death." 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 (Firon) said: Did we not bring you up as a child among us, and you tarried among us for (many) years of your life? 18 And thou didst the deed thou didst, being one of the ungrateful!' 19 Said he, 'Indeed I did it then, being one of those that stray; 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Said [Pharaoh]: "Indeed, if thou choose to worship any deity other than me, I shall most certainly throw thee into prison! 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 Said he, 'Bring it then, if thou art of the truthful.' 31 So he cast down his rod, and lo! it was an obvious serpent, 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
