When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 And that my breast will tighten and my tongue will not be fluent, so send for Aaron. 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: 'Never so, go both of you with Our signs; We shall be with you, listening 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 ‘That you let the Descendants of Israel go with us.’” 17 [But when Moses had delivered his message, Pharaoh] said: "Did we not bring thee up among us when thou wert a child? And didst thou not spend among us years of thy [later] life? 18 You spent many years of your life among us and then you committed that deed of yours. You are very ungrateful indeed." 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: And what is the Lord of the Worlds? 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him, "Did you hear?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 [But Moses] went on: "[He of whom I speak is] the Sustainer of the east and the west and of all that is between the two - as you would know]" if you would but use your reason!" 28 Said he, 'If thou takest a god other than me, I shall surely make thee one of the imprisoned.' 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 So (Moses) cast his staff, and lo, it turned into a living serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
