Behold, thy Lord called Moses: "Go to the people of iniquity,- 10 the people of Pharaoh: do they have no fear?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 I feel nervous and my tongue is not fluent, so send Aaron with me. 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "By no means! proceed then, both of you, with Our Signs; We are with you, and will listen (to your call). 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 Pharaoh said: "Did we not bring you up among us when you were a child? 18 And thou didst that thy deed which thou didst, and thou wast one of the ingrates. 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord vouchsafed me a command and appointed me (of the number) of those sent (by Him). 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 Said [Pharaoh] unto those around him: "Did you hear [what he said]?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Said Firaun, “This (Noble) Messenger of yours, who has been sent towards you, has no intelligence!” 27 He said: Lord of the east and the west and whatsoever is in-between, if ye understand. 28 Pharaoh said, "If you put forward any god other than me, I will surely put you in prison". 29 Musa (Moses) said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 and he drew forth his hand - and lo! it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
