When your Lord called out to Moses, saying, "Go to the wrongdoing people, 10 “The nation of Firaun; will they not fear?” 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 My breast is constricted and my tongue is not fluent, so endow Messengership on Aaron. 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 Allah said: "Nay! Go you both with Our Signs. Verily! We shall be with you, listening. 15 “Therefore approach Firaun then proclaim, ‘We both are Noble Messengers of the Lord Of The Creation.’ 16 Send with us the Children of Isra'il? 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 and you did the deed which you did. You are certainly ungrateful." 19 [Moses] said, "I did it, then, while I was of those astray. 20 So I fled from you when I feared you, then my Lord granted me wisdom and made me of the apostles; 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 He said, 'Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients' 26 Said he, 'Surely your Messenger who was sent to you is possessed!' 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 (Pharaoh) said: If thou choosest a god other than me, I assuredly shall place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo! it appeared white to the onlookers. 33
