(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 "And my breast straitens, and my tongue expresses not well. So send for Harun (Aaron) (to come along with me). 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 [Allah] said, "No. Go both of you with Our signs; indeed, We are with you, listening. 15 They came to the Pharaoh and said, "We are the Messengers of the Lord of the Universe. 16 Then send with us the children of Israel. 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me Hukman (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood), and appointed me as one of the Messengers. 21 But the favour you oblige me with is that you have enslaved the children of Israel." 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 (Firon) said to those around him: Do you not hear? 25 He said: your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers. 26 Fir'awn said: verily your apostle who hath been sent unto you is mad. 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 (The Pharaoh) said: "Then bring it, if you speak the truth." 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 Then he uncovered his hand and it was sheer white to the onlookers. 33
