And (remember) when your Lord said to Moosa, “Go to the unjust people.” 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He said: "My Lord! I fear that they will brand me a liar. 12 And my breast straitens, and my tongue is not eloquent, therefore send Thou to Haroun (to help me); 13 “And they have an accusation against me, so I fear that they may kill me.” 14 God said, "Indeed not; go both of you with Our signs, We shall be with you, listening [to your call]. 15 And come together unto Pharaoh and say: Lo! we bear a message of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 Said Firaun, “Did we do not raise you amongst us, as a child? And you spent many years of your life among us!” 18 And you did (that) deed of yours which you did, and you are one of the ungrateful. 19 Said Moosa, “I did that at a time when I was unaware of the consequences.” (In anger – See verse 28:15) 20 Then I fled from you when I feared you, and my Lord bestowed on me wisdom and made me one of the sent ones. 21 That is a blessing thou reproachest me with, having enslaved the Children of Israel.' 22 The Pharaoh asked, "Who is the Lord of the Universe?" 23 [Moses] answered: "[He is] the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them: if you would but [allow yourselves to] be convinced!" 24 [Pharaoh] said to those around him, "Do you not hear?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 He said: Lord of the East and the West and all that is between them, if ye did but understand. 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 Moses asked, "What if I were to bring you clear proof (of the existence of God)?" 30 (Pharaoh) said: "Show it then, if thou tellest the truth!" 31 So he cast his staff, and behold, it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and it appeared [shining] white to the beholders. 33
