When your Lord called upon Moses: "Go to the wicked people, 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 : He said: "O Lord, I fear that they will deny me. 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 They also have a sin against me, and I fear they will slay me.' 14 He said, “Not like this (any more); both of you go with Our signs, We are with you, All Hearing.” 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 (Saying): Let the Children of Israel go with us. 17 (Pharaoh) said: "Did we not cherish thee as a child among us, and didst thou not stay in our midst many years of thy life? 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 (Moses) replied: "I did do that and I was in the wrong, 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 And is it a favor of which you remind me that you have enslaved the children of Israel? 22 Said Pharaoh: "And what [and who] is that 'Sustainer of all the worlds'?" 23 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, if you can believe." 24 Pharaoh said to those around him: "Do you hear (what he says)?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" 27 He said: The Lord of the east and the west and what is between them, if you understand. 28 Said he, 'If thou takest a god other than me, I shall surely make thee one of the imprisoned.' 29 Said Moosa, “Even if I bring to you something clear?” 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 (No sooner had he said this than) Moses threw down his rod and behold, it was a veritable serpent, 32 And he drew forth his hand, thereupon it shone bright before the beholders. 33
