And when thy Lord called Moses, saying: Go unto the wrongdoing folk, 10 "The people of the Pharaoh: will they not fear Allah?" 11 He said: O my Lord! surely I fear that they will reject me; 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 And they have upon me a [claim due to] sin, so I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 And go, both of you, unto Pharaoh and say, 'Behold, we bear a message from the Sustainer of all the worlds: 16 that you let the Children of Israel go with us.'" 17 [Pharaoh] said, "Did we not raise you among us as a child, and you remained among us for years of your life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 So I ran away from you out of fear. But my Lord has given me wisdom, and made me an apostle. 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists)?" 23 He said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and whatsoever is in-between, if ye seek to be convinced. 24 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 (Moses) said: "The Lord of the East and the Lord of the West and all that lies between them, if you have sense." 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 So (Moses) threw his rod, and behold, it was a serpent, plain (for all to see)! 32 Then he drew out his hand, and it was luminous to the onlookers. 33
