When Your Lord told Moses to go to the unjust people of the Pharaoh 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said: my Lord! verily I fear they shall belie me. 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 And they have a charge (of murder) against me. So I fear that they will kill me." 14 He said: by no means. So go ye twain with Our signs; verily We shall be with you listening. 15 Go to Pharaoh and say, 'We are the messengers of the Lord of the worlds, 16 [Commanded to say], "Send with us the Children of Israel."'" 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 And you commited what you did, and you are ungrateful!" 19 He said: I did it then while I was of those unable to see the right course; 20 “I therefore went away from you as I feared you – so my Lord commanded me and appointed me as one of the Noble Messengers.” 21 And [as for] that favour of which thou so tauntingly remindest me - [was it not] due to thy having enslaved the children of Israel?" 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 Moses answered: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, if you were only to believe." 24 Said Firaun to those around him, “Are you not listening with attention?” 25 [And Moses] continued: "[He is] your Sustainer, [too,] as well as the Sustainer of your forefathers of old!" 26 (Pharaoh) said: "Truly your messenger who has been sent to you is a veritable madman!" 27 Moses continued: "(He is) the Lord of the east and the west, and all between them. If you only had any understanding!" 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 [Pharaoh] said, "Then bring it, if you should be of the truthful." 31 Then he cast down his staff, and lo! it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
