And recall what time thy Lord called unto Musa, saying: go thou unto the wrong-doing people. 10 and ask them, "Why do you not fear God?" 11 He said: My Lord! Lo! I fear that they will deny me, 12 and "my breast is straitened and my tongue is not fluent; so send Aaron as well; 13 They have charged me [with a crime] for which I am afraid they will kill me." 14 (It was) said: "By no means. Go with My signs, both of you. I am verily with you and I hear. 15 Then come to Firon and say: Surely we are the apostles of the Lord of the worlds: 16 Send the Israelites with us". 17 Pharaoh said to Moses, "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you spent several years of your life with us. 18 “And you committed the deed of yours that you committed, and you were ungrateful.” 19 He said: I did it then, when I was of those who are astray. 20 Then I ran away from you in fear, but my Lord granted me the law and has appointed me as a Messenger. 21 And this is the favour with which you taunt me -- that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Said Pharaoh, "And what is the Lord of the worlds?" 23 [Moses] said, "The Lord of the heavens and earth and that between them, if you should be convinced." 24 Said he to those about him, 'Do you not hear?' 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers of old. 26 [Pharaoh] exclaimed: "Behold, [this] your 'apostle' who [claims that he] has been sent unto you is mad indeed! 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 'If you take any other god except myself' he (Pharaoh) replied, 'you shall be thrown into prison' 29 He said: Even though I show thee something plain? 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 So Moses threw down his staff and suddenly it appeared as a serpent, plainly visible. 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
