And (remember) when your Lord called Musa (Moses) (saying): "Go to the people who are Zalimun (polytheists and wrong-doing), 10 the people of Pharaoh; will they not be godfearing?' 11 He said, "My Lord, indeed I fear that they will deny me 12 "My breast will be straitened. And my speech may not go (smoothly): so send unto Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, therefore I fear that they may slay me. 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 "And when you both come to Fir'aun (Pharaoh), say: 'We are the Messengers of the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists), 16 "'Send thou with us the Children of Israel.'" 17 He said, 'Did we not raise thee amongst us as a child? Didst thou not tarry among us years of thy life? 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 Moses replied: "I committed that act erringly. 20 so I fled from you, fearing you. But my Lord gave me Judgment and made me one of the Envoys. 21 And is this a favor of which you remind me - that you have enslaved the Children of Israel?" 22 Pharaoh said: 'And what is the Lord of the Worlds' 23 Moses said, "Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if only you would be convinced." 24 (The Pharaoh) said to those around him: "Do you hear?" 25 (Moses continued): "Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers before you." 26 [Pharaoh] said, "Indeed, your 'messenger' who has been sent to you is mad." 27 He said, 'The Lord of the East and West, and what between them is, if you have understanding,' 28 Fir'awn said: if thou wilt take a god other than me, I shall surely place thee among the prisoners. 29 He said, 'What, even though I brought thee something so manifest?' 30 Fir'awn said: forth with it then, if thou art of the truth-tellers. 31 Then he flung down his staff and it became a serpent manifest, 32 And he drew out his hand; thereupon it was white for the observers. 33
