And when thy Lord called to Moses, 'Go to the people of the evildoers, 10 The people of Fir'aun (Pharaoh). Will they not fear Allah and become righteous?" 11 He replied, "Lord, I am afraid that they will call me a liar. 12 And I shall be embarrassed, and my tongue will not speak plainly, therefor send for Aaron (to help me). 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they will kill me. 14 He said: "Certainly not! So go both of you with Our Signs. We shall be with you listening to everything. 15 So go ye twain unto Fir'awn and say: verily we are the apostles of the Lord of the Worlds, 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 He (Pharaoh) said (to Moses): 'Did We not bring you up when you were a child? And have you not spent years of your life amongst us? 18 And [then] you did your deed which you did, and you were of the ungrateful." 19 Moses said, "I did do it and I made a mistake. 20 Then I fled for fear of you. Then my Lord bestowed wisdom and authority on me and made me one of the Messengers. 21 And this is the favor with which you oblige me: You have made the Israelites your slaves. 22 The Pharaoh asked: "And what is the Lord of all the worlds?" 23 (Moses) said: Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if ye had but sure belief. 24 (Pharaoh) said unto those around him: Hear ye not? 25 Said Moosa, “Your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers preceding you.” 26 (Pharaoh) said: Lo! your messenger who hath been sent unto you is indeed a madman! 27 'He is the Lord of the East and the West' said he (Moses), 'and all that is between them, if you could understand' 28 Said he: If you will take a god besides me, I will most certainly make you one of the imprisoned. 29 (Moses) said: "Even if I showed you something clear (and) convincing?" 30 The Pharaoh replied, "Bring it, if you are telling the truth." 31 So [Moses] threw his staff, and suddenly it was a serpent manifest. 32 And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! 33
