(Recount to them about the time) when Your Lord called Moses: "Go to the wrong-doing people, 10 The people of Pharaoh. Will they not fear and take heed?" 11 He said, “My Lord, I fear that they will deny me.” 12 and my breast will be straitened, and my tongue will not be loosed; so send to Aaron. 13 And they have a crime against me, so I fear that they shall slay me. 14 He said: By no means, so go you both with Our signs; surely We are with you, hearing; 15 So go you to Pharaoh, and say, "Verily, I am the Messenger of the Lord of all Being; 16 That you should send the children of Israel with us.' 17 Fir'awn said: brought we not thee up amongst us as a child? And thou tarriedst amongst us for many years of thy life? 18 "And thou didst a deed of thine which (thou knowest) thou didst, and thou art an ungrateful (wretch)!" 19 Moses said: "I did it then, when I was in error. 20 and I fled from you because I feared you. But [since] then my Sustainer has endowed me with the ability to judge [between right and wrong,] and has made me one of [His] message-bearers. 21 "And this is the favour with which thou dost reproach me,- that thou hast enslaved the Children of Israel!" 22 Said Firaun, “And what is the Lord Of The Creation? 23 'He' (Moses) replied: 'is the Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, if you believe' 24 The Pharaoh said to the people around him, "Did you hear that?" 25 He said: Your Lord and the Lord of your fathers. 26 (The Pharaoh) said (to his nobles): "Your apostle who has been sent to you, is certainly mad." 27 Moses said, "He is the Lord of the East and the West, and all that lies between them, if only you could understand." 28 [Pharaoh] said, "If you take a god other than me, I will surely place you among those imprisoned." 29 (Moses) said: "Even though I have brought to you something convincing?" 30 Fir'aun (Pharaoh) said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" 31 He cast down his staff and thereupon it was a clear serpent. 32 And he drew forth his hand, and lo, it looked white to the beholders. 33
