۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 "There is a small group of people 54 but they are indeed filled with hatred of us 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 Thus [We turned them (Pharaoh's people) out] and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 [Musa (Moses)] said: "Nay, verily! With me is my Lord, He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 In the meantime We made the others approach that place. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
