۞ Also, We revealed to Moses, saying: 'Go with My worshipers by night, for you will be followed' 52 Then Pharaoh sent gatherers to the cities. 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Even so. And We caused the Children of Isra'il to inherit them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 So We sent the divine revelation to Moosa that, “Strike the sea with your staff”; thereupon the sea parted; so each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 Then drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
