۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 And most surely they have enraged us; 55 We are warning all of you about them." 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 Moses said, "Certainly not. My Lord is with me and He will certainly guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 And We made the other party approach thither. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 then, We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in this is surely a sign, and most of them were not Muslims. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
