۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 They are always harassing us. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 At sunrise they set off in pursuit of them 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 He said: Nay, verily! for lo! my Lord is with me. He will guide me. 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 We also brought the other party close to the same spot, 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Most surely there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Surely, your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 68
