۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and as soon as the two hosts came in sight of one another, the followers of Moses exclaimed: "Behold, we shall certainly be overtaken [and defeated]!" 61 Moses replied: "By no means. My Lord is with me. He will show me the way." 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
