۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 saying: "These (Israelites) are only a small band of people 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 Then We drave them forth from gardens and springs. 57 their treasures and a noble station. 58 Thus (were those things taken from them) and We caused the Children of Israel to inherit them. 59 Pharaoh and his people pursued them at sunrise, 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses said: "Certainly not. My Lord is with me; He will direct me." 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
