۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 And verily we are host well-provided. 56 and so we have [rightly] driven them out of [their] gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So the Firaun’s people followed them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We revealed unto Musa, saying: smite thou the sea with thy staff. So it became separated, and each part was like unto a cliff mighty. 63 Then brought We near the others to that place. 64 and We saved Moses and those who were with him together, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And most surely your Lord is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
