۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 So Firon sent heralds into the cities; 53 "There is a small group of people 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 And indeed, we are a cautious society... " 56 So We made them leave the gardens and springs of water, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Said he, 'No indeed; surely my Lord is with me; He will guide me.' 62 Then We revealed to Moses: 'Strike the sea with your staff', so it divided and each part was as a mighty mount. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 And We saved Musa and those with him, all of them. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
