۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to (all) the Cities, 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 "But we are host all assembled, amply forewarned." 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and goodly dwellings, 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, every one; 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
