۞ We revealed to Moses: "Set forth with My servants by night for you will be pursued." 52 So Firaun sent gatherers into the cities. 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 So, We expelled them from gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and when the two groups saw each other, Moses' companions said, "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 We delivered Moses and all who were with him; 65 And We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
