۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then the Pharaoh sent announcers to the cities, 53 "There is a small group of people 54 “And indeed they have angered all of us.” 55 seeing that we are, verily, a nation united, fully prepared against danger 56 Thus did We drive them out of their gardens and springs 57 and their treasures and excellent dwellings. 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought near the others [Fir'aun's (Pharaoh) party] to that place. 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Verily there is a sign in this, but most of them do not believe. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
