۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 (Saying): "Verily! These indeed are but a small band. 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 So We turned them out of gardens and springs, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 'No, indeed' he replied, 'my Lord is with me and He will guide me' 62 We sent a revelation to Moses saying, "Strike the sea with your staff." The sea was rent asunder and each side stood high up like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 But We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Surely thy Lord, He is the All-mighty, the All-compassionate. 68
