۞ We sent a revelation to Moses telling him to leave with our servants during the night; they would be pursued (by the Pharaoh). 52 And Pharaoh sent forth heralds to all the cities. 53 Verily these are but a band small. 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 And lo! we are a ready host. 56 We therefore got them out from the gardens and water springs. 57 and treasures and a noble station; 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two companies saw one another, the companions of Moses said, "Indeed, we are to be overtaken!" 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired to Moses, "Strike with your staff the sea," and it parted, and each portion was like a great towering mountain. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Surely in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe: 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
