۞ We said to Moses: "Travel by night with My creatures. You will surely be pursued." 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 and indeed they are enraging us; 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 Thus we let the Israelites inherit them all. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two forces drew within seeing distance of each other, the people of Moses said: "We shall certainly be overtaken." 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And there We brought the others on, 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 But We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 And lo, thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
