۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities musterers: 53 (Who said): Lo! these indeed are but a little troop, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 "But we are a multitude amply fore-warned." 56 So We expelled them from gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and honorable station - 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 At sunrise, they followed them. 60 And when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa (Moses) said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Then We revealed to Moses, (commanding him): "Strike the sea with your rod." Thereupon the sea split up, and then each became like the mass of a huge mount. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 We delivered Moses and all those who were with him, 65 then We drowned the others. 66 In this [story] behold, there is a message [unto all men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
