۞ And We inspired Moses, saying: Take away My slaves by night, for ye will be pursued. 52 Then Pharaoh sent among the cities gatherers 53 "These," they said, "are only a small band, 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 and we are a host on our guard' 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 treasures, and graceful dwellings. 58 even so, and We bequeathed them upon the Children of Israel. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 and, when the two hosts sighted each other, the companions of Moses said, 'We are overtaken!' 61 He said: By no means; surely my Lord is with me: He will show me a way out. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 Then We brought the two parties closer. 64 We delivered Moses and every one with him, 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers. 67 Your Lord is certainly Majestic and All-merciful. 68
