۞ And We inspired Musa (Moses), saying: "Take away My slaves by night, verily, you will be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 they have enraged us, 55 And most surely we are a vigilant multitude. 56 So We made them leave their gardens and springs, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 So it was; and We made the Descendants of Israel its inheritors. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 He replied: Nay indeed! My Sustainer is with me, [and] He will guide me!" 62 Then We revealed to Musa: Strike the sea with your staff. So it had cloven asunder, and each part was like a huge mound. 63 Then brought We near the others to that place. 64 and We delivered Moses and his companions, all of them, 65 and then We caused the others to drown. 66 Surely, in that there is a sign; yet most of them do not believe. 67 truly, your Lord is the Mighty One, the Merciful. 68
