۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Fir'awn sent unto the cities callers: 53 (Saying): "These (Israelites) are but a small band, 54 And lo! they are offenders against us. 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 So they pursued them at sunrise. 60 So when the two hosts saw each other, the companions of Musa cried out: Most surely we are being overtaken. 61 Said Moosa, “Never! Indeed my Lord is with me, He will now show me the way.” 62 Then We told Moses by inspiration: "Strike the sea with thy rod." So it divided, and each separate part became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 Then We brought the others to that place. 64 And We saved Musa (Moses) and all those with him. 65 then We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 68
