۞ And We revealed unto Musa saying: go by night with My bondmen verily ye shall be pursued. 52 Then Fir'aun (Pharaoh) sent callers to (all) the cities. 53 [bidding them to call out his troops and to proclaim:] "Behold, these [children of Israel] are but a contemptible band; 54 who have certainly provoked our wrath. 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 As such We expelled them from their gardens and their fountains, 57 and [deprived them of their erstwhile] station of honour!" 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 The people of the Pharaoh pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two bodies saw each other, the people of Moses said: "We are sure to be overtaken." 61 Moses replied, "No, My Lord is with me, and He will guide me." 62 Then We bade Moses strike the sea with his staff. And it parted, and each part was like a huge mountain. 63 And We caused the pursuers to draw near unto that place: 64 And We saved Moosa and all those with him. 65 And We drowned the others. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 And yet, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 68
