And recite to them the news of Abraham. 69 When he said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?” 70 They said, 'We serve idols, and continue cleaving to them. 71 He said: hearken they unto you when ye cry? 72 Do they help or harm you?" 73 They replied: 'No, but we found our fathers doing so' 74 He said, 'And have you considered what you have been serving, 75 “You and your forefathers preceding you.” 76 “They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation.” 77 Who hath created me, and He guideth me. 78 He who gives me food and drink; 79 And when I am sick, then He restores me to health 80 He will cause me to die and will bring me back to life. 81 And who, I hope, will condone my faults on the Day of Judgement. 82 “My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity.” 83 And uphold my name with posterity, 84 "Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 and forgive my father, for he was among the astray. 86 And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves, 87 The day when neither wealth nor children will be of any avail 88 except for him who comes to God with a pure heart. 89 On the Day of Judgment Paradise will be brought near the pious 90 whereas the blazing fire will be laid open before those who had been lost in grievous error; 91 And it will be said to them: "Where are those (the false gods whom you used to set up as rivals with Allah) that you used to worship 92 besides God? Will the idols help you? Can they help themselves?" 93 Then will they be hurled therein, they and the seducers 94 And the soldiers of Iblees, all together. 95 There they will quarrel with one another and the erring ones will say (to their deities): 96 they will say, "By God, we were in clear error 97 when we deemed you [false deities] equal to the Sustainer of all the worlds 98 It was nothing but the evildoers who led us astray. 99 Now we have none to intercede for us, 100 "'Nor a single friend to feel (for us). 101 If we could only return to the world and be among the believers." 102 Verily there is a sign in this, but many of them do not believe. 103 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
