Relate the news of Abraham to them. 69 When he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship?" 70 They said, "We worship idols, and we keep squatting in seclusion before them." 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 "Or do they benefit you or harm you?" 73 They said: nay; but we found our fathers doing in this wise. 74 (Abraham) said, "Do you know that what you worship 75 you and your forefathers of yore? 76 "They are all my enemies, except the Lord Of The Creation." 77 who created me. It is He who guides me; 78 "And the One Who feeds me and gives me to drink." 79 and Who, when I am ill, heals me; 80 And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life 81 "And Who, I hope will forgive me my faults on the Day of Recompense, (the Day of Resurrection)," 82 "My Lord, bestow me the command and join me with those who deserve your proximity." 83 and appoint me a tongue of truthfulness among the others. 84 And place me among the inheritors of the Garden of Delight, 85 And forgive my father. Lo! he is of those who err. 86 And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. 87 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons 88 Except him who comes to Allah with a heart free (from evil). 89 "To the righteous, the Garden will be brought near, 90 And hell will appear plainly to the erring. 91 "And it shall be said to them: 'Where are the (gods) ye worshipped- 92 Instead of Allah? Can they help you or help themselves? 93 They will then be thrown into Hell with those who had gone astray 94 and the army of satan will all be thrown headlong into hell. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 "By Allah, we were surely in clear error 97 When we made you equal with the Lord of the Worlds. 98 It was but the guilty who misled us. 99 and now we have none to intercede on our behalf, 100 "Nor a caring friend." 101 Then if we only had a return [to the world] and could be of the believers... " 102 Verily! In this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 103 And indeed your Lord - only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 104

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
