And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). 69 Behold, he said to his father and his people: "What worship ye?" 70 They answered: We worship idols, and we remain ever devoted to them." 71 He said, "Do they hear you when you supplicate? 72 Or do they benefit or harm you? 73 They replied: 'No, but we found our fathers doing so' 74 He said: Have you then considered what you have been worshipping: 75 you and those ancient forebears of yours? 76 "Verily! They are enemies to me, save the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists); 77 Who created me and showed me the way, 78 And it is He who feeds me and gives me drink. 79 And heals me when I am sick, 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 And who, I hope, will condone my faults on the Day of Judgement. 82 [And he said], "My Lord, grant me authority and join me with the righteous. 83 And grant me an honourable mention in later generations; 84 and make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss; 85 Forgive my father. He has gone astray. 86 Degrade me not upon the day when they are raised up, 87 The day on which property will not avail, nor sons 88 But to him who comes to God with a tranquil heart." 89 "To the righteous, the Garden will be brought near, 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 and they will be asked: "Where now is all that you were wont to worship 92 Other than Allah? Can they help you or help themselves?" 93 So they will be overturned into Hellfire, they and the deviators 94 and Satan's legions, all together. 95 They will say while contending therein, 96 “By oath of Allah, we were indeed in open error.” 97 when we assigned to you a position equal to that of the Lord of the Universe. 98 It was naught but the sinners that led us astray; 99 So none we have as intercessors. 100 And not a devoted friend. 101 If only we could return we would be among the believers." 102 Verily herein is a sign, but most of them are not believers. 103 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
