And recite to them the story of Ibrahim (Abraham). 69 when he asked his father and others, "What do you worship?" 70 They said, "We worship idols and will continue to cling to them." 71 He said: Do they hear you when you call? 72 Or, benefit they you or hurt they you? 73 They said: "No. But we found our fathers doing so." 74 He said: 'Have you considered what you worship, 75 You and your fathers? 76 They are all enemies to me; all, except the Lord of the Universe 77 “The One Who created me, so He will guide me.” 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 and when I fall ill, is the One who restores me to health, 80 And He Who will cause me to die, then give me life; 81 Who, I hope, will forgive me my sins on the Day of Judgement." 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 “And give me proper fame among the succeeding generations.” 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Delight. 85 Forgive my father. He has gone astray. 86 And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. 87 on the Day of Judgment when neither wealth nor children will be of any benefit 88 "But only he (will prosper) that brings to Allah a sound heart; 89 And Paradise shall be brought forward for the godfearing, 90 And the Fierce Fire shall be made apparent unto the seduced ones. 91 who will be asked, "What did you worship 92 Other than God? Can they save you or even save themselves?" 93 So they and all the astray were flung into hell. 94 and the hosts of Iblis - all together. 95 They will say while contending therein, 96 'By God, we were certainly in manifest error 97 When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 "'And our seducers were only those who were steeped in guilt. 99 and we have no intercessors now, 100 Nor a close friend (to help us). 101 Would that we could have a chance to live again so that we might become believers." 102 Indeed in this is a sign; and most of them were not believers. 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104
