Relate the news of Abraham to them. 69 when he asked his father and others, "What do you worship?" 70 They said: We worship idols, and are ever devoted unto them. 71 He said: "Do they listen to you when ye call (on them)?" 72 Or, benefit they you or hurt they you? 73 They said, 'Nay, but we found our fathers so doing.' 74 He said: 'Have you considered what you worship, 75 "You and your ancient fathers? 76 Lo! they are (all) an enemy unto me, save the Lord of the Worlds, 77 He created me and He will guide me. 78 Who gives me food and drink, 79 And when I am sick, then He restores me to health 80 Who will cause me to die and then will again restore me to life; 81 and who I am eager shall forgive me my offence on the Day of Doom. 82 My Lord! bestow on me wisdom and join me with the righteous. 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 And make me one of the inheritors of the Paradise of Delight; 85 And forgive my father; verily he is of the erring. 86 And humiliate me not on the Day whereon people shall be raised. 87 The Day whereon will profit neither substance nor sons. 88 But only one who comes to Allah with a sound heart." 89 Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path; 90 And the Fierce Fire shall be made apparent unto the seduced ones. 91 It shall be said to them, 'Where is that you were serving 92 Beside Allah? Can they succour you or succour themselves? 93 Thereupon they will be hurled into hell - they, as well as all [others] who had been lost in grievous error, 94 And the hosts of Iblis all together. 95 And they will say while they dispute with one another, 96 "We were clearly misguided 97 When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 Only the sinful ones made us go astray. 99 So none we have as intercessors. 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 Were there for us a return, we would be of the believers. 102 Surely, in that there is a sign, yet most of them do not believe. 103 But, verily, thy Sustainer - He alone - is almighty, a dispenser of grace! 104

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
