The people of Noah [too] gave the lie to [one of God's] message-bearers 105 when their brother Noah said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 106 I have been sent as a trusted messenger to you. 107 Have fear of God and obey me. 108 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the Lord of the Worlds: 109 So keep your duty to Allah, and obey me. 110 ۞ They said: "Shall we believe in you, when the meanest (of the people) follow you?" 111 He said, 'What knowledge have I of that they have been doing? 112 It is for my Lord to bring them to book, if you can understand. 113 I will not drive away the believers. 114 I am only a clear warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: 'My Lord, my nation have belied me. 117 Therefore judge Thou between me and them with a (just) judgment, and deliver me and those who are with me of the believers. 118 So We delivered him and those with him, in the Ark filled (with all creatures). 119 Then We drowned thereafter the remaining ones. 120 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
