The people of Noah rejected the Messengerss. 105 When their brother Noah said to them, "Will you have no fear of God? 106 I am a trustworthy Messenger to you; 107 "So fear Allah, and obey me. 108 I ask of you no wage for this; my wage falls only upon the Lord of all Being; 109 So guard against (the punishment of) Allah and obey me. 110 ۞ They said, "Should we believe in you when no one has followed you except the lowest ones". 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 "Their account is only with my Lord, if you could (but) know. 113 Hence, I shall not drive away [any of] those [who profess to be] believers; 114 “I am not but clearly a Herald of Warning.” 115 They said: "If you do not desist, O Noah, you will be stoned to death." 116 [Whereupon] he prayed: "O my Sustainer! Behold, my people have given me the lie: 117 so give true deliverance between me and them, and deliver me and the believers that are with me. 118 We saved him and those who were with him in the laden ship, 119 and drowned the rest. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 122
