The people of Nuh rejected the apostles. 105 when Noah, their brother, said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 106 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust: 107 so serve you God, and obey you me. 108 And I do not ask you any reward for it; my reward is only with the Lord of the worlds: 109 "So fear Allah, and obey me." 110 ۞ They said: Shall we put faith in thee, when the lowest (of the people) follow thee? 111 Said he: "And what knowledge could I have as to what they were doing [before they came to me]? 112 It is only for my Lord to take account of them. Would that you made use of your understanding! 113 "I am not one to drive away those who believe. 114 I am only a plain warner." 115 They said: If you desist not, O Nuh, you shall most certainly be of those stoned to death. 116 He said: My Lord! Lo! my own folk deny me. 117 "Judge Thou, then, between me and them openly, and deliver me and those of the Believers who are with me." 118 And We saved him and those with him in the laden ship. 119 then afterwards We drowned the rest. 120 In this there is evidence (of the truth) but most of them do not have any faith. 121 Verily Your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 122
